Exchange program to Universidad de Castilla la Mancha (Spain)

The selection process has started for the European Commission-funded Erasmus+ Program Scholarship to Castila La Mancha University (UCLM), Spain!

Students of the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth semesters of the Bachelor's degree in Georgian-American University will be able to take part in the competition from Business, Law, Informatics and English philology.

The prerequisite for participation in the competition is the knowledge of English at min. B2 level, which will be checked by interviewing the student (priority is given to students with the knowledge of Spanish language at A1 level).

Those who wish to participate in the competition must send the application documentation (all documents unified in PDF format) till April 15, at the following address: exchange@gau.ge. Please, indicate the name of the university (UCLM) in the subject.

List of application documents for students:

  • Copy of Passport

  • Certificate of Student's Status (Official Document in English)

  • Extract from University marks (official document in English)
  • English Language Certificate (if any)
  • Spanish Language Certificate (will be considered as priority)
  • European format of CV (in English, not more than two pages)
  • Cover letter (in English or Spanish, not more than two pages)

 

Selection Process:

  • checking the Documentation (Georgian American University)
  • Interview with the committee (Georgian American University)
  • Candidates selected by GAU will directly be awarded scholarship by European Commission and UCLM.

The Scholarship includes

  • Study fee for UCLM
  • 850 Euros monthly scholarship for accomodation and food
  • Travel costs

The exchange period is:
2019/2020 Fall Semester

Additional Information:

  • The selected candidates must pay for the VISA expenses themselves (Spanish embassy is located in Istanbul, Turkey)

  • Under Article 492 of the Law of Georgia on Amendments to the Law "On Higher Education", it is inadmissible to suspend student status for the student who is participating in the exchange program. Thus, a student participating in the mobility program is enrolled in his native university as an active student and accordingly, the student must still pass administrative registration in every semester and pay the semester fee at the Georgian-American University.
