AmCham Youth Leadership Program

On October 13 the first meeting of the AmCham Youth Leadership Program was held.

The special speakers were the President of the Georgian American University, the first Vice-President of AmCham, Mr. R. Michael Cowgill, Vice-President of GAU, co-chair of Education and HR committee at AmCham, Professor Mikheil Chkhenkeli, and the representative of AmCham Ms. Sopo Chakvetadze. The lecture for students on ''Lobbyism & Government Relations And Its Specificities In Caucasus” was delivered by the Director of Corporate & Regulatory Affairs of British American Tobacco, Mr. Zviad Skhvitaridze.

The main goal of the meeting was to present the Youth Leadership Program, which involves students of AmCham member universities. The mentors of the program are the managers of successful companies in Georgia. The mentors will lead workshops and bring international best practices from the fields of IPR, time management, presentation and leadership skills, conflict resolution and more.

The pilot program will last through a full semester and will not only empower the students on their path towards a successful career, but will benefit members by giving them access, through our student career promotion segment, to some of the most motivated university students in the country for jobs and/or internships.
