One of the most important and ceremonial days in the history of GAU was its 10-year Anniversary Graduation Ceremony for - Law and Diplomacy students. Educated and strong specialists, who obtained knowledge and experience from GAU. Their good citizenship and orientation will contribute to the country's development process!
On July 18, 2015 15:30 at the 3rd pavilion of Expo Georgia, the graduation was held for Law, Social Science and Diplomacy School students.
GAU’s President, R. Michael Cowgill, opened the ceremony and congratulated the graduates, followed by a minute of silence, in honor of the GAU student, who recently passed away, David Khvedelidze. Then Dr. Stephan Storck (Deputy EU Ambassador to Georgia) was invited on stage. He spoke about European integration, and wished successful careers to the GAU graduates.
The Dean and Vice President of GAU, Zaza Rukhadze, addressed the Law, Social Sciences ,Diplomatic School graduates. He spoke about the values of life, which he shared with his students. Then GAU’s highest rated students spoke about their experiences at GAU. They were given special certificates. The Dean and Vice President then gave a special thanks to departments, colleagues and lecturers.
GAU lecturer, lawyer Zviad Kordzadze, in his speech gave a long list of successful graduates and offered them jobs in his organization - "Kordzadze Law Office''. Some of GAU’s graduates started their careers at the time of the graduation ceremony.
After awarding diplomas, the President of GAU called the audience to continue GAU's tradition and they made the honorary graduates corridor and graduates walked through to the graduation march music.
After this was a very emotional moment, they walked to the yard, where interesting event was held - "We are GAU,'' was spelled out by graduates with a Drone taking aerial photos of the event. (Video will be available soon ).
The cake was cut and commemorative photos were taken.
